I want to make my interior brighter at night when the dome light comes on. Is there an aftermarket bulb that is noticably brighter than the stock one?

Is it possible to wire in the map light to come on whenever the dome light comes on? May be worth looking into. Or I may be the only one who has wished for more light... i think it gives the car a more luxurious feel.

 

i have PIAA bulbs.
they are not only brighter but they are white instead of the yellow.
i also have them in the door (courtesy) lights
