Startup engine rattle

Whats up. Where do I find my build date. I want to determine if this TSB pertains to my VIN or not.

Look on the FMVSS decal on the bottom of the B pillar behind the driver's door.

How long does your rattle last? I can't remember hearing a rattle in mine yet. My car was built in November 01 and it falls withing the VIN range listed in the TSB.

Thanks guys. The rattle lasts just a split second at cold startup. It probably only happens 75% of the time though. I want to get it fixed along with the crank/cam sensor recall soon while its still under its factory warranty.

I seriously doubt any sane Nissan tech will actually say the problem is there. This is ALOT of work. I wouldn't trust anyone touching my VQ. This is the same problem that was on the VE30DE motors on 92-94 Maximas... and it always comes back. I would dropp of the car with them, then next day ask them if U can be there when they start the engine up to listen. Cause otherwise all they gonna say is no problem found. This is a pretty big job- like installing cams. I'm doing this same job on a VQ35DE but I'm putting in the Nismo R tune cams. Sucks to hear that you guys with the 3.5s have this problem, QR25DEs in Altimas and Spec V SE-Rs have a similar problem also !
