which model would you consider better . From the post below people state that the GXE is the lower class. When it comes to the GLE & SE, it seems that people have diffrent views to which one is better . I think the GLE is better since it come with more options than the SE. If im wrong ,why?

Well, you're not "wrong" per se, but they all have differences. The differences are related to the options, not the build quality, or overall quality of the models compared to each other. If you want a lot of leather, and fake wood trim, get a GLE. If you want a better handling suspension and beefy tires, get an SE. If you want to save money, yet still get a great car, buy a GXE, and add to it as you can afford to.

I own a 2K SE (Sunlit Sand), and have added some things like the A/E trim package for the door sills, and pedals. I prefer a stiffer ride, since our previous car was a 96' GLE. I don't care about leather, because we live in Florida.

In summary, one model being "better" than the other is strictly based on what works best for YOU. If you've never owned one of these cars, I suggest you go drive a loaded Accord V6, note the price, then go drive a plain jane Maxima GXE, and tell me what you think is BETTER? ;-)

In my book... GLE is auto cause it's auto only. That leaves only the SE if you want truly fully loaded.

It's a toss up... if you're looking for handling and performance (5 spd), then the SE will suit your needs. If you're looking for soft, comfy ride plus and a luxurious interior, the GLE is will do.

you can get a GXE with the comfort and conv. package. that gives you the 16" wheels, the better (no bose) stereo with the tweets in the a pillars. it also gives you the home link system that you can program your garage door opener to operate. i think you also get the adjustable armrest with this (don't think its standard-but if you read some other posts you might not like it anyway.)

The se model gives you the titanium color gauge faces and tinted rear tail lights. you also get a spoiler that is not standard on the GLE or GXE.

It's only a question of money and taste. Get the SE and add all the GLE stuff you want. A fully loaded SE cost more than a fully loaded GLE. There are options on the SE that are not available on the GLE such as the suspension, gauges, and bronze colored tail lights. I don't think there is really anything on the GLE that can't be added to the SE.
I had a 97 GLE and later got buyer's remorse for not getting the SE at the time. Three years later I traded the GLE for a 2000 SE and I am much happier with the car.
If you are trying to decide between the GLE and the SE you really can't go wrong. Is the dealer willing to negoiate more on one model over the other? I thought they may give in more on the GLE just because the SE might sell better, but who knows?

Fully loaded SE costs 28 and change. Fully loaded GLE goes for 26-27. I got my GLE for a hair over 26.

When driving down the road you can't really tell between a GXE and a GLE. You can only tell if you look at the interior or the Badges on the back. The SE on the other hand you can tell because of the tail lights and the wing. GLE looks like a non sports car, while the SE looks like a sports car. It's all about looks. Take off the Badges and add a wing and some black tail lights and you have an SE.. If you spent the money for an SE, then of course your going to say your car is better that the GLE. If you spent money on the GLE, then of course your going to say it's better than the GXE. If you spent less money on the GXE, then you'll say you saved money and you car is just as good a the GLE or SE. It's human nature to think that your toys are better than others. Go figure.....
