I installed a PR cai and after a week I blew out the MAF. I replaced it with a new one and the car runs fine again but a new SES light (code 0113 ) wont go away. I believe its saying Intake Air Temp Sensor voltage too high.

did you replace it with a 2k2 maf? i know some have used 2k-2k1 mafs for their 2k2 but the 2k2 maf has the air temp sensor built into it unlike the 2k-2k1. the 2k-2k1 uses a seperate stand alone sensor for the air temp. if you are using a 2k2, then i would ask if you picked it up from a junkyard or used in anyway? also how long ago did you replace the maf because it will take the ecu a few cycles to realize the code is or should not be there. if you have a known good maf then i would take it to autzone, have them clear the code and see if it reappears.

You can disconnect the battery to clear the codes.

I have a 2k2 maxima and i replace the maf with a 2k2 maf. no u cant clear the code by disconnecting the battery... I arleady cleared the code with my obd2 scan tool and the code keeps coming back.

anyone else want to take a stab at it?

do you have anyone that you could switch mafs with? if you plug yours into another 2k2-k3 and the same code comes out then you know its a defective maf. it has to be something with the maf since the air temp sensor is built into it.

Unfortuantly I don't. I may just buy another MAF as a backup and try it to see if its my current maf. If it is, I can just return it under the 1 yr warrantee. But if both mafs get the code, im still stuck for what to do.

Did you get the TSB done where they replace the old MAF with the newer and stronger one? I'm searching for the details now and will post them when I find them.

When I was at the dealer, the only MAF they had on the computer for my car was 22680-2Y001. Which is different from the one listed on that thread.

Thats odd because that is the number of the MAF I just installed on my 2000. Does the 2002 have the temp sensor in the MAF or seperate like the 00-01?

thats part number for the updated maf for 2k-2k1. the reason that the ecu is throwing the code is because it cannot find the air temp sensor. i would go online like on jerry rome parts site and find the correct part number for your maf. i know the air temp sensor is built into the 2k2-k3 so there is no way that part number will work w/o throwing a code or you can rig the sensor like some other 2k2s have done by relocating the pin for the air temp sensor from your old maf to the 2k-2k1 you have now.
