I want to know how you did this also, it saves you money from buying the other mirror that sticks on.

Trying to get indiv. LEDs to line up would be a b!tch. Maybe a pre-made strip of LEDs would work better? There's gotta a place that sells "sticks" of LEDs online?

Good idea/A for effort, but them not lining up = n:

this may be a stupid question, but it begs asking....What the hell is the point of led signals on your mirrors? Now I can see the point of the turn signals on the MIRROR side of the mirror, so when you're next to someone or behind them you can see it flashing - but why exactly would you need a turn signal light on the FRONT of the mirror?

Or is this just for looks?

I was looking at one of these on a Mercedes parked next to me today and was like "Why?"

Yeah, Mercedes were the first to put these out on the REAR side of the mirrors, but then everybody jumped on the bandwagon to copy these (which were poor quality, IMHO). Now, the ones that have the LED's embedded in the MIRROR side are TIGHT! I'm talking about the factory made ones, of course. The stick on ones are a waste of money and look stupid.

Wow, was that for lack of anything intelligent to say? I'm both shocked and insulted. (yawn)

Grow up kid, i was just saying my opinion. You obviously posted it for opinions, The world doesn't have to enjoy your radioshack mirror mod.

The LEDs Look off because they are on an odd curve of the mirror......
The Passanger mirror (Finished today) is a bit brighter because of the lesser angle the LEDs are on. I forgot to measure the angle before drilling.
I will (probably) be making a writeup.....not too soon though
I HAVE BEEN having problems in school....gotta study.
When I have time, I'll do the writeup.

If anyone is interested...my friend (who helped with the whole project) is charging $60 + parts (like $5 for LEDs and wires and whatever else)
This takes about 2 hours and is a precise process now...that he "perfected" himself on my mirrors.....The passanger side is flawless.......

I took it as though you were bashing my hard work.....
This isn't CRAP....you can keep that to yourself...just tell me if you don't like it and be on your way.....I'm very touchy because of some late stress I have been having.........IT'S A GOOD PROJECT.....don't do it if you don't like it.

I agree. MaximaPolak, by any chance did you silicone the LED's to avoid moisture? I know for a fact, as soon as moisture hits LED's, they'll tend to burn out. Other than that, I think you did a good job and they look great. Like someone mentioned before, make sure they illuminate amber or yellow, before the cops come after you and slap you a fine!

To each their own, but I'll be putting those on my car right around the same time I put the park bench wing on the trunk lid.

dude you need to relax. I honestly think it looks but that's my opinion.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It's your car, if you like it...more power to you.

My friend has a Probe and he had his LEDs in the mirrors for about 7 years.....Same setup as mine just different place. He has 2 rows of 28 LEDs and no moisture burned out the bulds. Mine were put in exactly like his....nothing but electical tape covering them......the voltage is too small also to do anything to the electicals.
