Just thought I should share something with everyone and possibly get some feedback. I was at the dealer today trying to close in on a 2001 Max SE Gray Lustre 5sp and gave me an "internet" price of $26080, MSRP was $28730. The options include the Leather & Comf/Conv & the Bose, plus all the other junk (sunroof visor, cabin filter, mudguards, etc). For financing they gave me $595/60mo. Lease is at $439/38 mos, 15kmi/yr, 1st months payment up front, no money down. I'm pretty sure I can get that MSRP down to $25600. Whaddya guys think? I can still shave off a coupl'a hundred bucks...what are examples of your payments?

Sounds like they can come down in price. I think Russ got a similar setup for less. The monthly sounds high. What interest rate do they have you?

 

I got mine 2 weeks ago. 20th Ed. 5sp and just the wind deflector for 23,500. You can do the math if yours is a good deal.

 

I got it last May...
It is fully loaded 2000 SE 5-speed..
My lease payment=$349/36months and I gave them $1000 at the time of the purchase, plus all the upfront fees and first payment. So I payed about $1500 total when I got the car.

 

I just got my car 3 days ago, the final figure was 25,600 loaded except the merdian package. mud flaps, sunroof deflector, 17s, etc. 5spd. Black on black. 25,600 was out the door.

 

Thanks for the info guys. The APR they were giving me was 10%, but of course that was without them checking my credit yet, so that's no problem.

I was looking at the classifieds in my local paper and noticed that Nissan is running a lease special and a low interest rate if you purchase the car. It might be a local Michigan thing (Nissans don't sell very well here). I remember about $360 for 12K miles with $1500 down. The APR was around 6-6.5%

 

8.1% is what I got
