Aftermarket LSDs for 02/03

Who makes a limited slip dif for the 6 speed 02-03 maxima besides stillen? Have any of you purchased one and how was install, or how much were you charged for the install?

I am having a hell of a time finding a 6 speed with the factory LSD. Debating giving up and adding the limited slip aftermarket.

Thanks, Hall
(any word for a short shifter for the 02/03 yet?)

There is someone on this board who installed a factory HLSD into a non-HLSD tranny a month or two ago. It supposedly less involved a process than previously thought although it takes some time and you'd better know what you are doing if you take the tranny apart.

Are the LSDs really that rare? I'm find some 6 speeds, just no LSD models. My friend just picked one up, and another of mine just sold one. I assumed they were findable. Buying one in MA from NC sucks.

HLSD is pretty rare. I couldn't find one when I was buying my car. It's the only option I settled on and couldn't get.

I thought somebody makes an LSD for us, but I can't remember who.

I hope you are kidding, Coastal is tiny (although they are building a new dealership in Norwell). If they have any Z's on the lot they are lucky. Quirk is a much larger dealer. Who are you dealing with at Coastal? Lance is a good guy, although can come off as a tool at first. He knows me pretty well now because he is working on finding me a next car. He is the one that sold my Z to me also.

So 03's with LSD are more common? I may have to start looking for one of them then. I've only found a stillen LSD so far for aftermarket, I hope there are more.

the stock nissan OEM hlsd unit is an EXACT drop in to your non-hlsd tranny. Gears and casing are the same

sr20den has done this already.
