#74 bulb does work in cluster!!!

hello

well i thought id give it a try, i bought a set of #74 bulbs, you can look at them here: http://autolumination.com/194_marker.html

i bought the blue ones. i replaced the ring light around the ignition and thought id try and use them in the cluster. now i know they are not the same size as the ones in our clusters but they fit fine and when i plugged it in, they lit up and they work great!! i will be trying the LED's next

ill try and get pix up as soon as possible

WOW! What a coincidence! I had purchased 8 of these from a guy on eBay. I had bought the super-white Xenon ones to put in my SE cluster to see if they'll work. Either way, I was going to make it work by soldering it to the base of the bulb connector that twists in the cluster. But, I'm hoping they won't burn out prematurely or melt the base connector if the wattage is too high.

well the bulbs just fit in, no soldering needed and if the waltage is too high the bulb would have just burnt out....so i guess its all good.
