Difference in sound between PT1011 & PT1012??

I got the PT1012 in the mail tues and am getting it installed tomorrow morning.
I don't know if I like how obnoxiously fartcanish the tips are and probably should have ordered the pt1011. I was wondering too is there any difference in noise between the two??

I have it and I don't think the tips are "obnoxiously fartcanish." No difference in sound, by the way.

Well, I'm saying that because it looks big sitting here at the house. I think it won't look as big on the car.

Once it is tucked under the car it doesn't look that big.

Pt 1011

I just got the PT1011 delivered and installed at Meineke yesterday and it looks great. I paid $50 for it to get installed but then again I had them put on bigger pipe from the catback. So now I have 2.5" piping from the catback which is nice so when I get a nice Y Pipe it will match up and flow much faster and smoother. But I will say, any bigger then the PT1011 I think will look to boig. The 1011 looks just right without getting a bodykit. I will have pics on my cardomain page within the hour if you want to see what it looks like on the rear of the Max without a kit.

powertech tends to be a good muffler but its noisy all the time....after getting my ypipe i noticed that my muffler sound was deeper so i decided to take off the resonator...now it has a really nice classy sound.. no sound at all when i drive normal but when i floor it it sounds like the 350z .. i'm planning to get 2.5-3" pipin also .. homemade frankencar catback ..lol

Hmmm?

So you took off the Resonator and the sound went away or was it becasue of the Y Pipe? Mine is not to bad at all. When I am on the highway you can barely hear it, just a little drone but it doesn't bother me yet. But when I start the Max and get on it a little bit, it sounds exactly like a Infiniti G35Coupe which I really am Happy With.
