Requesting AE Engine cover pic and answer

I just bought an 2001 AE Engine cover. I held it up to where it should mount and only the top two bolt holes line up. Did they send me the wrong cover or is it supposed to be that way? I don't have an AE Maxima so could this be the problem?

Thanks y'all.

Not sure how to answer your question, but below are two pictures of my engine bay with the cover. Larger versions can be found on my web site.

Cheers! Good luck finding the right hole for your screw.

Thanks y'all.

Make sure you get the mounting kit for the AE cover. If you don't have it, you can contact DaveB. Without the mounting kit, you can't install it because the lower two bolts that are in the middle of the engine cover are attached using the mounting kit. I hope this helps.

I ordered the Starter Kit from HoseTechniques.com and that took care of it for me with a few exceptions. The largest hose for the intake had to be purchased from a local shop...I think it was 12mm. Some of the 3.5mm, 4.0mm, 6.0mm, and 8.0mm hoses are direct replacements...but I had to split and cover a lot of them.

what are those lighter blue hoses? it doesnt look like silicon hose. Do they carry direct replacements for those hoses?

Thanks MichaelAE and dr3ams661...that's exactly what I needed to know. I do have the correct cover, just need the install kit.

That is split wire loom wrapped around the non-replaceable hoses and wire clusters and taped with blue electrical tape. Looks great even in person.

no problem. Once you get the mounting kit, the bottom of the mounting kit will screw onto two holes on your valve cover. The AE cover will then screw on to the top of the mounting bracket.
