Where did you find the hot wire? I was thinking about using one of the wires from the sunroof but can't find the wire that is hot when the car is on. Any suggestions?

I did. I ran the hardwired kit into the fuse box on an empty fuse. Then just use a 10' phone cord to wire it up the driver's A pillar and over to the center near the rearview mirror.

mine is mounted left of my rearview mirror and the wire tucked in all along top and behind a pillar cover and into fusebox. Was simple and you have to be in car to see the V1. And it works fine shooting thru the tint at the top of the windshield. Saved me dozens of times.
