Cracked Fog Light lense - need advice

Passenger side lense is punctured and cracked from a road stone.

I have not checked into repair costs.

Who has purchased a new lense from the dealer? Is this even possible?

If so, is the cost for the lense so outragous that a new set of fog lights is a better idea?

I have a 2002 SE and I would like to know some sources of good, aftermarket replacements that fit the stock openings.

I already wanted to replace the stock H3 bulbs. They just don't look right with the HID headlights.

Please give me your opinions on the best way to go. New lense and bulbs, or new foglights altogether.

TIA

Take my advice!

I cracked both my fog lamps on my 2k2. Didn't replace them becuase they were so bloody expensive... you can't just replace the lense. On my 2k3, I solde my OE stock fogs, and installed Hella Angel eyes.

To be honest with you, the stock fogs are crap, and they always crack. Your not the first.

If you do replace with stock. PM me for the Foglight Film Kit. It will help prevent stone chips.

Replacement fog lights - part or model #'s

MiniRX7 - can you give me a part or model number for those Hella angel eye units you used? How well did they fit, and were they a PITA to install?

I'm just wondering if they are a direct replacement, or universal type fog light that requires fabrication and cutting etc.

The more details you can provide about installing and adjusting them, the better.

Thanks!

Steve

Mini, what is the model number for those and do they make them without the angel eye ring?

Angel eyes part info

I did some checking and the round fog lights made by Hella that he used are part number 88194. They are the model 2500 Angel eye lights.

Summit carries them, but appears to be presently out of stock.

Any vendors of Hella on this forum that stock them?

Actually, they are slightly smaller than stock, but they look really good.

I always just have them on angel eye mode, but when i do turn them on, they are alot better lighting than OE.

Dealer cost quote

Just so you guys are aware, the local dealer quoted me $163.32 for the passenger side fog light without bulb. That's about three to four times the cost of a set of Angel Eyes, but I won't have to take the car apart, drill any holes in the bumper cover, or otherwise molest the nose or wiring of the car to install it.

Tough decision....

Contact DaveB for a better price on foglights. If you go stock, PM me for the film kit.

I just ordered the fog light kit from JerryRomeNissan.com for $154 shipped. It was the whole kit including both fog lights. It was going to be like $140 for just one, so I just bought both. Make sure to use the "Maxima" discount code.
