Not a bad idea. Wonder how they'll stand up to things like car washes and northeast winters...for twenty bucks and a 5 year warranty, it's not bad. Thanks for sharing.

 

I bought a pair of yellow ones and installed on my 7th gen about 4 years ago and they are still like new. Well worth the money compared to replacing the fixture.

 

I bought plain sheets of Lamin-x and installed them on my wife's Honda Odyssey, after one of the fog lights got smashed by a rock. Have not had issues since. Frankly I forgot they are there :-)
With exact cutouts, install is simpler, but you pay premium for product. I remember when I installed mine, I took out the fog light to wash it. I also used heat gun to promote adhesion, so having to cut out my own was not a big deal at all.
