Eibach Springs Little Bouncy?

Im not sure its cause i just have springs and not the shocks but it seems that the ride is alittle bouncy? Also not sure what it is but when i pull into a parking lot or my driveway and i creep i hear a click click click noise sounds like from the springs anyone know what that could be? And one more thing what is a good set up with my eibach, shock wise?

i bought igor911's old suspension, tokico blues with eibach springs, the ride is bouncy but i thought it was cuz 1 coil was cut on the front, but i guess not since your experiencing it too... and yeah when my steering wheel is turned all the way to the left i hear squeaking noises from the suspension, these are minor perks tho - the car looks damn cool so im not complaining

Yeah, I would think that it would be the fact that you guys are using stock struts with a higher spring rate. Invest in some good shocks and you will probably be a lot better off. I got mine from SWA for like $450 bc of the org.

BTW, I will be installing my Eibachs/Illuminas this weekend. Ill let you know how it works out

Bounce is caused when the shock cannot damped the rebound of the spring.. basically you'll need performance aftermarket shocks/struts

ok tkx i figured that much that it was cause i need performance shocks/struts. About the clicking noise i think u are hearing somethign different, cuase mines more of a tick tick tick type noise and its loud too loud enought for ppl to hear when i creep into a parking lot.

I'm planning on upgrading to eibach/illumina combo in the next month. I'm looking for above all handling. Do you guys agree with this, or should I be looking at a different spring or shock? I've heard everyone on the org complaining about the ride, but I haven't heard anything bad about the handling.

And yes, if you have a stiffer spring, you need a shock that matches it. If you do not, you will not only lose handling performance, but also end up blowing out your shocks early too.

Its definetly your shocks guys.
Jattman, It sqeaks becuase it wasn't installed properly. You will need a stronger strut then a tok blue to keep up with the cut coil. Good news is all you would need are front struts.

If your going for handling and want to stay with the spring/strut, I believe that Eibachs with illuminas/KYB AGX is your best choice, those springs hold well.
But just remember Shocks (400) and springs (200) is 600 (actually more).. JICS are just a few hundred more.

I got Eibachs with Tokico blues for about 2 years now and they still ride the same as the day I installed them. The ride is a little stiff but thats the price you pay for good handling.

I had my eibachs with stock struts for prob 40k - 50k and no problem. They are stiff dont confuse that with bouncy. IF its a fast bouncy then thats how there spose to be, if its a slow bouncy then you have bad shocks n struts. It is hard to explain because everybodys definition of bouncy or stiff can be tottaly different. After my factory stuts n shocks went then i put kyp gr2 on the work great. Now I have kyb gr2 and tein s. I liked the eibachs better on certain details but the drop is alot better on the tein s. Thats .02
