TX - Need rec for Auto->Manual Tranny Conversion
I think my auto tranny may be going out (1st gear won't engage or goes out of engagement intermittently, and either 2nd or 3rd does it a little bit every now and then). When it happens the engine revs freely until something catches and the car lurches forward and squeels the tires.
I was thinking if I have to get my tranny rebuilt I would prefer to just get a manual put in since they seem to be less problematic.
Does anyone know of a good transmission shop and how much one might expect to pay for something like this?
I had put a transmission fluid cooler on the car when I first bought it hoping to avoid this problem!
Thanks in advance!!!
