My 2002 Maxima has 37500 miles on it. I have a cattman CAI running into the fender wall. I am pretty sure my manufacturers warranty ran out at 36000 miles. Am I screwed and I need to buy a new MAF out of pocket or does anybody think Nissan may help me out. Retail price on the MAF is over $400. I can get it for $366 from a nissan parts discount store online. Are there any aftermarket MAFS made for our cars??

ok to save you $300 bucks and get a stronger MAF then the $400 one

just buy a 2001 MAF from DaveB phone # 1 888 254 6060

i got it for i think $100 shipped overnight delivery

now when you take out your 2k2 MAF there is resisitor there hel on buy contacts

use pliers and carefully spread those contacts open and take the resistor off

put the resistor on the 2001 MAF and there you go

this is what i did and it works fine

what kind of symptoms did your car have after your MAF burned out?

I think i got the same problem,but not sure if it is my MAF.
