Forgot to mention, I bought my tips from the same guy. Shipped the tips out the same day I sent payment.

BTW, the tips people have are the 3" tips, not 3.5"

I got mine at http://www.a-1performance.com/. 3" dia. X 7" long X 2.25 inlet dia. #35131

I think you want the 3.5 X 7.5 X 2.25 #35123 Double wall, round , straight cut. I was going to get this one, but I had a feeling 3.5 would be too big.

asu174 - That's right...you started a great trend!

scopium - yeah my tips are slightly bent because it's parallel to the bottom surface of the bumper.

Is it just me or do your tips look a lot shorter than mine. And also, why didn't you just get your muffler moved up so you didn't have to bund your tips up so much.

Thanks. I actually wasn't fishing for compliments or anything. I just remember when I posted the initial thread about what I was going to do, a lot of people just told me to go buy a new muffler instead.

I still can't believe 20+ members have these things now.......

Yeah it does look a little shorter. Could have been the way I took the pic. I figured I'd just get the tips on. Didn't know I could move the muffler back. Oh well...live and learn.

Maybe it's because one of you has a 2k1 and the other a 2k2?

How difficult was it to take off the original chrome tips off of the 2002 Maxima? I too am impressed with the Magnaflow tips. Which looks better, the straight cut 35122 or angle cut 35131? Thanks, Ed.

I also got the 35131 tips awhile back after being inspired by asu when he 1st did it.

We cut off the stock tips using a little circular saw. Haven't had time to get the new tips installed yet, so I've been rolling around with the puny 2" black outlets...haha

anyone else have any pics. trying to get a feel for these tips. they are starting to grow on me. The stock tips are already rusting. Cant really tell from the pictures but do these stick out past the bumper? I hope not i like the recessed look much better. thanks
