I started up this a.m., and I noticed that I had a rattle sound just after it turned over. I thought I saw a post on this at one time, but since I can't search, I thought I'd ask. I also seem to remember that it might have been a TSB item....but not sure on that. Does anyone know if it is a problem or just an annoyance. It only happened the 1st time. All other times after that...no repeat!

 

I got the same problem it only happens when its a cold start. I took it to my dealer and they said its a problem only if it lasts more than a second.

 

I get the rattle on occasion at first daily startup. Since my vehicle is running just fine, I rather not take it to the dealer for the "rattle at startup TSB". I can live with it.

I think most ppl here, incl. me, have decided to live w/it b/c it's a pretty involved process to fix it & as long as it doesn't do harm, why bring in the possibility of the dealer doing more harm than good in trying to fix it?
