Nissan Induction Service

Do they clean out the throttle body? What exactly do they do? Is it worth the $99 price tag? What would be a better alternative?

I don't know about a better alternative, but ... My Nissan dealer did this for me. I asked specifically about cleaning the TB and they said that they do, along with the fuel injectors. Is it worth $99 - all I can say is I was pleased with the results. Car seems to perform better and gas mileage improved a little. If you have a good dealer, I would recommend it.

I would find a shop that uses BG products. They work much better than the other induction services that I've tried.

BG44K for fuel injector cleaning. Tb cleaning works well with pretty much any tb cleaner.

My dealer recommended it when I got my last oil change (which I would do myself, but I'm paranoid about warranty claims). I thought I was getting suckered as I tend to do, but the car was getting a little jumpy at throttle tip-in. It always had been but It's been 40,000 miles and I figured what the heck for $70. It actually helped! It's smoother at the first touch of the accelerator. I thought I read a thread that some people where haveing some problems after they cleaned their own TBs, but don't quote me on that.
