Any Feedback on Air Intake Systems on Ebay?

I was looking at the Cold Air Intake Systems on Ebay and was wondering if anyone has any feedback on those? Did you purchase one on ebay and how did the intake fit? I have a 2K max.

hmmm, some people have bought them and have been pretty satisfied with them. But you WILL have to buy a new air filter with that kit because the one that comes with it is complete garbage.

Or check out our intakes - Berk Technology in the group buy forums.

yes, i would recommend a berk intake. The ebay intakes are cheap for a reason. At least if something goes wrong with berk you can get in touch with him relatively easily

I recently bought the injen knockoff intake from ebay and i am happy with it, the filter is a simple cone filter but its not that bad, I plan on using it for a bit and getting K&N. Couldnt beat the $45 price and simple install. Not a lot to "break" on this things, just some metal tubes....
good luck

Here is the link to the current sale. There is an error on there, shipping is $1, NOT $8.95. To RI you'll get it in about a week, 5 day shipping time for UPS ground. I'm in CA.

I bought an intake for my 2000 Nis Sentra GXE on ebay, one of the home made kinds...Thing was the biggest POS I've ever wasted money on. The company shipped me one for a 2.5L SE-R 02-03 and said it will fit the 2000 GXE and my god it didn't...it also came apart while driving, ****ing me with a 180$ tow bill. Pieces of ****...trust me, stay away...although, this is a maxima forum, not a sentra one, the quality on these is still the same

If you already have a frankencar intake why would you go to a Berk? They are basically the same exact design.

Brian,

I have a 2002 Max and I have had the injen intake on it for about a year now with no problems. Though I like injen a lot I tend to be very nervous when it rains and snows alot down here specially that the filter is so close to the ground than others. Replacing the filter is another story.
I am very interested in your CAI specially that every one of your customers raves about your customer service not like frankencar.
Let me know where to get from, which one, and how much as long as it does not require any cutting.

Thanks.

Well for one, he uses a quality K&N filter. Most if not all fleabay intakes use some cheap airfilter that most likely doesn't filter much of anything. At least buy a K&N/SB filter from cobymoby. That would complete your intake system and make sure your engine isn't ingesting the equivlant of sandpaper.

the Berk intake is superior quality compared to others. Not only does Brian have killer customer service/suppport, but the intakes he sells are made to last, and fit perfectly with no tweaking necessary. Want more? The dude that is welding the midpipes also welds for NASA on the space shuttle.

bought the injen knockoff from Ebay..it is identical to the injen

also for those saying that the filters it comes with are worthless, just because it doesnt have the K&N sticker on it doesnt mean it is not a quality filter

I've seen an fleabay cone intake. It was just some cheap paper thing coated/dyed red. not good.

But I will agree SOME none K&N filters are good. The JWT cone comes with an oil/cotton/mesh type that looks to be good quality.

my ebay one is not made out of paper..i used a K&N filter charger kit on it, and washed it out... and it works great, definitely not made out of paper i can guarantee you that...

in fact i did the ebay filter and the K&N off my Jeep and they dried and washed the same amount of time..which leads me to conclude the insides are identical
