o2 simulator help

o2 simulator help

Im trying to install the o2 simulator because i have no more precats. The wiring diagram from the wetsite for the o2 simulator do not match the wires on my 2002 maxima. Can anybody help!

The site is correct except for the +12 which they say is Red/Blk.

Actually it is R/Y Red/Yellow.

However, verify like they say in their instructions with a multimeter and ignition on.

Also you do have to keep the existing sensors connected as per the diagram otherwise you will throw a CEL because of the heater signal.

Only 1 wire is actually cut and that is the signal.

PS Oh ya make sure you connect in above the connector to the sensor because the wires are totally different colors than the wires that connect to the sensor.

Thanks Jime again. Do you leave the 2 secondary o2 sensors conected but not installed and splice the ground and +12 into the existing ones?

Yes they have to stay connected and you only have to splice the gnd and +12 on one of them and cut the white on both. The gnd and +12 are only to power the simulator so only necessary to get it once.

I tucked mine under the plastic valve cover. Just be careful and keep them away from the wiring etc because they get hot and will melt wire insulation if in close contact.
