I'm looking at trading in my max for a new car. What would a rational price be for a trade in?
Specs:
Maxima GLE
36 K
No accidents, but two small dings one on the trunk and right passenger door no larger than a dime
Excellent service/maintenance throughout ownership
3m metallic tint
3m clear bra
good tire wear
Harman Kardon Traffic Pro Navigation/stereo

Man, you would be way better off trying to sell it on your own. A dealer isn't going to offer much. I would say somewhere between $14,500-$15,500.

 

tell us what you're getting and we'll tell you if the huge loss you're gonna take (due to pitiful trade-in value of the maxima) is worth it!

 

Dealership offered 13,500. I was dismayed at the low price however with interest rates being still relatively low and new car incentives everywhere I really don't blame them. I would be happy with 16500 as i think this is fair. Private sale is a possibility however time is a precious commodity for me like most people.
