Help! Trying to install Addco RSB

I just got a used one from an org member. He had 2000GXE and I have 2000SE so I figured everything would be ok. I'd ask him but I think he's out for the week and I want this on my car ASAP.

The problem I have is the U-bolt that fits to the trailing arm. It's simply not wide enough. I finally got it on the trailing arm by hammering it - not sure if that was wise - but the U-bolt bent outwards (made the thread part even wider) and the brackets wouldn't fit anymore. What am I doing wrong? These are all off the guy's 2000GXE so I'm assuming he'd them installed on his with these hardware without much problem.

The '02-03 trailing arms are slightly wider than those on a '00-01's. Addco provided larger brackets for '02's that were not provided with the '00-01's kits. You can take yours to an autoparts place and find a set that are slightly larger.
