Tell me everything that may happen when i take it off..
- are the Fumes gonna be horrible?
- will performance go down .. with out the backpressure?
I KNOW ITS ILLEGAL.. but car already has 80k miles on it so does it really do anything anymore?

You have to be careful about any emissions testing, without a cat you might fail. My poor cats guts got punched out. You'll be happy to know that all is well and there are no problems because of this. I think there is a "how-to" on this type of procedure. Good luck.

Yes your cat still does it's job. The definition of a catalyst is that it accelerates a chemical reaction but still remains unchanged. This is why your cat should pretty much last longer than you could ever drive the car. They don't put these on cars for the hell of it.
