I think I caused a short in my car...

I was trying to install my hids the other day and I think I caused a short in the lighting. My sidemarkers, fogs, and all rear lights were working and after not being able to install my hids, they are not working any more. My car works fine and all, just that my out side lighting doesn't work anymore. Do I take to an electrician or to Nissan? I'm tried of f*cking up my car assuming I know what I am doing. Some help please.

Well, do the fuses go bad in this situation? How about the relays. I hope its something minimal and not the wiring. I'm taking the car today at 12pm.

Well ,I didn't get to take the car but I found out that it was the ground all along. The wires were not grounded correctly. I got to mess with it for a little. But in the process of switching wires wondering what went wrong, a fuse went out, I switched it and now the HIDS are on! Man they look sweet!
Only problem I have now is why my turn signals don't light up or signal but when using the hazard button, they light up and blink too. Going to look into that in the coming days.

Thanks for everyone's help. I guess I'm not that stupid after all...but the again, you'all helped me out.

I shorted mine and only the headlights worked......

There is a fuse under the hood for "tail lights" that's the one that burned on me.

Polak, thats the one i changed! I swaped it and also adjust the wiring, i didn't use tape, i crimped everything and did it all neat and now everthing works. Damn, what difference! I can honestly say that the lighting and visiblity hs improved by 50% plus look hot too.

Thanks everyone! PEACE
