Newbie here...looking for free or cheap mods.

I have an 03 SE with the 6 speed. Not much money due to buying a new house and having my 2nd and 3rd children just 3 months ago. My car is leased, my wife insisted since I blew thousands of thousands on my last car (97 SHO), so I am not willing to add blowers exhaust etc. The car will be traded at the end of the lease.

Why not just spend the money on your household? What's the point of modding a leased vehicle? After your lease expires, you'll need the money to lease something else or purchase another vehicle.

That is why I am looking for low cost mods. In my SHO there was a prefilter that was removed and by adding a switch I could manually control the electronic suspension, and a PVC cold induction system that was unnoticable and cost 10 bucks. There was also a 3rd cat bypass pipe that was relativly cheap. Idler pullies are simple and could be traded in without switching them back. Are thier any "little tricks" with these guys? Money is not a limiting factor, I just don't want to spend big bucks on things specific to this car because I will not be buying another one at the end of the lease. The family is just getting too big.....I want to get a HUMMER! But, I just drove a Titan and I may be sold!!

First you say that you don't have too much money due to buying a new house and new additions to your family. Then you say that money is not a limiting factor. If you have the means to afford a Hummer or Titan, you seem to be pretty well off. I would still recommend saving whatever money you wanted to spend on the leased car to spend on the household or the next vehicle purchase.

You could do the coathanger GAB with or without the K&N filter depending on how much you wanted to spend. Without it it would only cost you the hanger. K&N panel filter should be about $50 or so. I would consider getting the K&N sealing grease if you go either way though. It would make sure you have a good seal on the filter. It costs about $8 for the sealing grease. Should give you atleast 5hp.

Although it's not cheap or free I would consider getting a Cattman Y pipe. It adds a nice bit of power and you could return it to stock and sell the Y pipe when you return the car.

you could always do the sideblinker rewire (to make them blink with your turn signal)

or the fog light mod (so they come on with your parking lights too)

clearing out your headlight assembly's is another

you want cheap....these are the cheapest

there may be a few more.......

anyone help?

Do you think he should do a rewire on a leased car? I would not think that it's a good idea.

Go with a basic pop charger intake that we have. I can give you a great deal on the S&B pop charger, $49.95. Comes with cone filter, MAF adaptor, and brackets.
