2000-01 Fog light Rewiring...Problem

I rewired my foglights on my 00 SE this past weekend. Using something like this...https://maxima.org/forums/printthread.php?t=270880...I got them to work almost perfectly. When I turn my parking lights on, and the foglight switch is on they come on. Same goes for headlights, when I go to hiigh beams the foglights cut off like they normally do. However, if I have the foglights on and I turn the car off...all the lights auto-off but the foglights. Basically, I have to remember to always make sure the foglight switch is off, which I don't mind but, I drained my battery today because of it. I just wanted to see if there were any 00 or 01 who have this problem solved if so? Let me know....

Huh, I did the standard rewire to the taillight relay's output but I haven't checked to see if I get this behavior... I assume you experience this behavior with the headlamp switch set to headlights (not AUTO or parking lights)?

How do you even rewire fogs to parking lights!? I just recently ordered 3000k for my fogs and I want them on whenever I have my parking lights on. Will somebody walk me through the steps to rewiring?

Shoot, did not pick it up, darn old. There's been newer posts on this DIY. Drumham basically clicked on the 1st post that showed up on the search.

Do more research next time.

There are newer, better threads on this DIY. I did this DIY and have no issues.

Of course we should have wired the fogs on the ignition SW. So you can turn on and off on demand and will shut off when the engine is off. That's what I did on my 98TL. Tapped directly on the main harness, which was easy because the fog wires were pretty close to the harness, it was a simple tap.
