SES Light ON P0171......ANY IDEAS

I just pulled a P0171 code on my 2K max. I thought I read that it could be the MAF or O2 sensors am I correct in assuming this?

Thanks Guys!

Hey Benny, take your car to Autozone they read the codes for free. It beats guessing......

Hey Benny. I just bought the Hayne's repair manual for our Max's, and it says that code P0171 means "Fuel injection system lean (right bank)". Hope this helps. I'm not a gearhead, so unfortunately I can't tell you anything more than that. Good luck.

why are you guys telling him to pull the code when he already posted it. ive never gotten this code but lean condition could be created by a few things. injectors, maf, o2 sensor just to name a starting few. if memory serves me, most people that posted with this code ended up with a new maf and the condition was gone. are you having any driveablility issues?

Who's guessing? I have a ODBII scanner. I pulled a P0171 last night. Just wondering if anyone has had the same issue and what their fix was?

Thanks!

Sloppy, "Once and a while" when I start it it'll bog for a couple. If I drive it it'll kind of putter for about a block or two. Could this be the begining stages of MAF failure? But driveability otherwise is GREAT!

I had the same proble 3 or 4 months ago .......its the MAF replace it yourself for $85 from Dave B. and have your local dealership reprogram the ECU for $35 and you will be good to go.
