Question fellas.. Does it matter on why style tip or if it's single or dual exhaust for the car to sound deeper? Does it matter if you have an intake or not?

the deep sound usually comes from the y-pipe, if i'm thinking correctly.

i think... the tip should barely make a difference in sound. the muffler makes a huge difference. i had a 92 legend with custom 2.5 inch piping from the headers straight to the muffler, no cat. it was freakin loud. my friend had a 91 legend, pretty much the same car, and he added a nakayama muffler only. his car was almost as loud as mine. BTW, we were both using DTMs. i really dont think that only a muffler tip will drastically change the resonance.

Thanks for the info guys, but it still didn't answer my original.. does the intake increase the sound? does the b-pipe increase the sound? i bought a custom muffler(dual) and i don't think it's sounds deep enough.. i heard that v6 were real deep and judging by what other's have said about HKS and stillen products, it is.. but when i first start the car, it's a nice growl.. i start losing that growl after 3000 RPMs.. is that like that with everyone else? DO you guys think i should change the custom muffler?? please advise soon.. thanks.

yes, the intake will make it sound deeper, and so will the b-pipe. I wouldn't change the muffler on there cause it has that special open and close valve inside.
