01 MAF, what's the difference

I own a 00 SE, and my dad has a 01 AE. His throttle response is much better than mine, and both are automatics. I have a jw pop, wrpspd y, and cattman axle back. Is the difference due to the MAF, wherein his is supposed to be much better than the one in my car. If so what is the difference between the MAF in the 00 and 01 that makes such a difference? If I was to find a 01 MAF would it be a direct swap with mine?

the current part number for the MAF is 22680-2y001 for the 2k/2k1 sensor.

Call Dave Burnette at 888-254-6060 and get one.

I plugged in a 01 AFM into my 2000 engine setup and it fits and runs.
