Got her HIDS for her 100,000 mile b'day

Installation took about 1.5 hours. I had a pretty generic write-up. I bought them here from an orger, and they came in fact box and are in mint condition, not even a single pit. I was going to do the hid alarm fix, but after installing them the hids don't flash when i arm it. is that somehting to worry about? i thought it would flash the hids..

You know I did the hid installation myself but I don't know if the alarm fix was included. How is that suppose to work? All I know is the my blinkers from the front and back light up, nothing else.
100,000? Thats cool. I think I'm at 72,000 miles.

Your HID's shouldn't flash - that would be a bad thing, because the quick on/off ignition of the bulbs would cause unneeded wear and tear and subsequently shorten their life.

How much did you spend? How in-depth was the electrical installation?

i did not spend as much as the new ones. the installation was confusing. the write-up i had was only helpful for the color codes. i have experience with home wiring. that definately helped..

What do you think someone would charge to install them? They look great. I'm always envious when I pass a 2k3 during the day OR night.

the alarm fix is so your HIDS dont flash when you hit the panic button or the alarm actually goes off. otherwise, if you dont do it, the HIDS will flash with the PANIC button or if the alarm goes off. locking and unlocking the car will not cause the HIDS to flash.

Dang...looks good. You might as well fix er up and do what you want....b/c you'll never be able to sell the dang thing for more than 5 dollah and a bag of doughnuts.

I've spent the past 4 months playing with the idea of selling mine....and every time I come back to keeping it b/c depreciation is so bad.

anyways....my point of this reply is to say after looking at yer pic there, my next mod is HID's. (not stolen ones of course). Looks great. How much did you pay for it?

QUICK question:

are the installed HID'S more secure in a 2000-01 compared to a 2002-03..or are they just as vulnerable if they were in a 2002-03?
