Is this ket for 2002-2003 only or will it fit 2000-2001?

He just needs to buy one of the "dogbone" mounts from DAVEB.

I think that would take up A LOT of shifter slop and IIRC, they are the same for 95-01.

i am giving a call to that sales rep that is handling the maxima folder and playing mr dumb and asking for the ETA on the 3 sets that are on the development folder on his desk. he will then get on it and get it's pricing out. which means, THE PARTS ARE DONE.

i also have part numbers for these sets. these part no.'s will not be released until i get a confirmation that they are for public sale. once they are for sale, i will post up, in a new thread, part no's, description, and pricing.

sets ready, but no pricing yet
Front control arm set
rear trailing arm set
motor mounts

not ready yet, but in final stages
shifter bushing set
subframe bushins
front sway bar set (for both auto (22mm) and manual trannies (23mm))
Hey Marco,

do we have to order these piecemeal, or will they come in complete sets?

no complete sets, since someone may not want certain parts. i'm sure some of you may ONLY want motor mounts, while there very will be some of you want it all.
but, when you do order the shifter bushing, that comes in it's set, as do subframe bushings, so there are multiple parts within each set.

and to add, subframe bushings were sent out yesterday, i should get them early next week. WOOOOT!!!

RELEASED!!!

yes you heard it. they're out....they're FINALLY OUT. and i am listing part no's....so feel free to do what you want. but i also recomment you wait. they were released last week and i went ahead and gave BRIAN at cattman a call. between him and the sales rep. at energy, they have organized group deal for the intro release of these suspension parts. keep your eyes pealed as he will soon follow with his own thread announcing the release of these products.

and part no's are:
7.1115 Shifter bushing set 02-03 six speed
7.1114 Motor mount replacements 95-03 (pair)
7.3118 Front Control arms 00-03
7.7108 Rear Axle Beam set 00-03

the following are NOT released yet:
subframe bushings (at my home, as soon as i give them the thumbs up, they are also released)
front sway bar bushings.
lower tie bar bushings

i'd like to thank everyone for their patience, but i assume it was worth the wait. obviously, you can order direct from energy, but if you want to save money, you know that bulk price is substantially cheaper than MSRP. enjoy. this thread will continue as the rest of the pieces are released. when i get back from miami, i will take pictures of the new subframe bushings.

So what's the difference between the Front Control Arms and Lower Control Arm bushings ? I only know that the front has 1 lower control arm on each side.

I would be very interested in a shifter bushing set and rear beam set for the 4th gen. I can't imagine them being too different from the 5th gen pieces. Do you think you could talk to them about possibly making these pieces as well? If I could get those two sets on my car it would be freaking awesome

Nice I am eagerly awaiting the group deal.

BTW, for the Motor Mounts, are these the front/rear ones only? or do they also include the side mounts?

Are they considering making something for the other motor mount and perhaps something for the tranny mount as well?

Shifter bushings will be for a 6spd tranny guys, if you wanna get a shifter bushing for your *5spd manual tranny* 4th or 5th gen then I recomend a shifter bushing from a 91-99 Sentra, it fits on our trannies. I wouldn't recomend the side mounts on our cars, having had JWT mounts in my Sentra before- all 4 mounts, the side mounts don't really do much other that transfer ALOT of vibrations through the chassis. Engine and tranny shouldn't shift side to side, but it will rock back and forth in the engine compartment, this is why Place Racing offers just the 2, front and rear engine mounts. I will try to take some pics of the shifter bushing I am talking about, it goes on the shifter support rod and attaches to the tranny/engine mount with 2 12mm bolts. There is a pivot stud that the bushing goes on, you need to drill that stud out and put in a bolt with a nut through it- on Sentras they have a bolt like that already there, its hard to explain without a picture. I will try to find a picture online for ya guys.

This setup is pretty much the same on 4th and 5th gen 5spds, the big black ROD has a bushing inside it- its 2 piece from Energy Suspension, it has a sleeve that goes over the bolt and then the bushings go in. Then you tighten the 12mm bolt on the other side once the support rod is in place. This is the best pic I could find for the shifter bushing. Energy Suspension / Courtesy Nissan part # 7-1103 List $7.30 – cheap. I have this on my car, it makes for very nice and tight shifter feel, with no sloppyness associated with the old worn out rubber bushing Nissan uses.

This is a kit for a 91-94 Nissan Sentra SE-R, it comes with every bushing but motor mounts, the shifter bushing is right in the middle - 2 rubber bushings, and a metal sleeve. They have changed colors to red now, my kit was black cause it was made like 6 years ago. Red or black, same good bushings. ES is awesome and I'm going to change out all my bushings on my 5th gen as soon as everything is avalible.

So this is a direct fit for 4th/5th gens?

What's the word for rear beam bushings for 4th gen?

OT, but BlackBirdVQ, do you know if the upper/lower motor mounts ES inserts are the same between the GA16 and SR20?

I have ES motor mount replacements/inserts for the SR20, but need to replace the lower/upper mount on my beater GA16.

Where would one go to get the install done. As far as I understand it these "mounts" are the inserts that go into the mounts. I remember someone saying you need a press to remove the old insert and put the new one in. Does anyone have an idea how much it costs?

$50-80 for the install. you'll NEED this. not optional. it's a tough job.

just got word from brian....he has all the information he needs and will be posting a group deal later on tonite. this isn't really a group deal, but more an introducotry pricing to these new products.

The Energy Suspension mounts do require you to use the old brackets? (somewhere I thought I read that the ES motor mounts come already installed in brackets )

Ohh, I see what the "subframe" mentioned is now. This is the same unit that needs to be removed to do the motor mounts right?

Isn't there a connection somewhere near the control arm which Matt's Stage 2 LTB deals with? (I think it bolts to the chassis), I thought that was subframe-related too. Did ES make bushings for that one?

yes motor sits on the mounts. it connects via 2 methods to the cars chassy; via the side motor mounts (OEM) and the subframe. these 2 components hold the motor up. motor attacheds to mounts and then mount bracket sits on subframe. subframe has 4 bolts, which attach onto the frame of the car.

yes, ES released s/f bushings, which is why i am putting those pictures up. why else would i do so? smack.
unfortunately, they are not released, but i have a wild guess that once i email my rep and give him the thumbs up (he wanted to confirm they fit) then he'll pass them through to sales. they already have a part no. (7.1116) and i will pass this info onto brian so he can call up ES and update his parts. as a note, i feel it would be easier if you waited for the s/f bushings and then do those and the mounts at the same time, as you'll have the s/f in your hands. in my case, i loosened all 4 bolts, then removed 1 at a time and used a screwdriver to pry the spacing to squeeze the new bushings through.

matt's parts are not subframe related, but they do connect to the control arms.

edit: picture of motor mounts with s/f attached below. 2 bolts up front, 2 in rear:

Marco, the subframe that you are referring to is known to Nissan as the C-Brace instead. While Matt's stage 2 LTB, connects the control arms and the subframe together.

In Nissan's vocabulary , item number 2 is the subframe, also known as the suspension crossmember.
