Anyone raced a new Spec-V

My buddy ordered a new Sentra Spec-V last night...he said it's the 165 hp supercharged one. Anyone with a VQ35 run against on of these yet? What can I expect?

Dude, those are NOT supercharged... and the Spec V should be 175HP I think, right?

i'm pretty sure no such sentra exists. especially when a stock spec-v is 185 N/A hp.

they're not all that special. i whoopd one 3 consecutive times in my 4th gen. they redline at 6K rpm so the maxima gets to pull for an extra 600 rpm or more.

Spec V is a 185hp Altima 4 cylinders engine. I beat one which the guy was a cop....but it was a joke... 5th gen auto SE. Don't worry about it, you the 3.5 engine. dont waste gas on it.....and Don't race is not safe

The Sentra SE-R has a naturally aspirated 2.5 liter 4-cylinder 165HP engine, the same one as in the 2002+ Altima 2.5. The SE-R Spec-V ups the HP to 175.

I have the 2002 SE-R. Fun, quick little car off the line, but the Maxima would destroy it at the high-end.

Peace.

i drove the sentra spec v , its a reallly quick little car , the problem is that it has very short gears, so when you are hitting 60 you are already 6000 rpm in third.

Last Spec V I ran was when this dude was reving on me on a stop light- PLUS he had a HOT G/F. My car backfires really hard with no cats, so quick run with the bozo and around 10 or so cars by 100MPH and his GF told me my car is mega pimp n all.... too bad my GF was with me :P I raced one in my 90 Max SE 5spd and spanked it- even with 320K miles on the odo. Ebay CAI ruled that car.

1. You buddy is for claiming he had an S/C
2. Any 5th gen will beat a spec v
3. I smoked a buddy's Spec V with my wife's Mazda 3s (in the RFK parking lot when it was empty, not street racing, btw)

I meant a stock Spec V.....that must've been a fast track. The only spec V I've seen at the track was running low 16's.......

I'm not saying that they're not quick cars - they are very "zippy" ...I'm just saying from driving Mike's (my buddy's) that it doesn't feel as fast as my max or my wife's 3s........

I have a 2K1 auto with many mods, anyway this local punk kids who has a SE-R though of impressing his friend by racing with me, he could hang and stay maybe two cars behind me until about 50-60mph and believe me he was trying hard his 4 banger was screaming like hell, over 60 it was all over so now when he see me he doesn't even try.

Cheers

Sorry, but even with an intake at that track with perfect shifting, there's no way he's running the times you listed with that intake being the only mod. It's a physical impossibility...

And yes, I've run it about 100 different ways on CarTest...
