FSTB - Is it really worth it?
FSTB - Is it really worth it?
Considering getting a FSTB, has anyone really noticed a difference after it's on? Has anyone noticed negative effects on handling, I've heard a few poeople say it's bad for the winter...
I felt that it slightly tightend my steering but, that may be due to the fact that I am lowered and have rims. I doubt you will actually feel a diffrence with a stock ride.
Sweet plane you got there, how far can you fly on that thing?

You won't notice much of a difference with a FSTB. I had one before getting lowering springs. It makes a slight difference under very hard cornering, but not much. An RSB makes a huge difference in handling.
FSTB will tighten up the front end tremendously. Long slow curves at high speed is where you will fill the most difference. RSB will flatten out the rear end and it more noticable because it can be felt throughout the whole range of speed. IMO FSTB is critical and should have been included from the factory.
There is alot of flex between the front strut towers. This bar reduces that flex and actually makes the car feel more solid over road bumps. Other than that, everyone seems to say that a RSB is better for handling.

I agree.
I could tell right away that corner turn-ins were more flat in the front than they were before the fstb. The fstb was also my first mod, so it didn't take much improvement to be noticeable.
Well worth $45 for a quality mod.

I feel the front is much tighter. Steering wheel doesn't vibrate. In my opinion, getting FSTB, RSTB and RSB will improve the handling and sure you will feel the difference.
My setup is OTTO FSTB, Stillen RSB and RSTB will arrive my doorway this week.

also for handling, check out the front lower tie bar....www.mattblehm.com. Several of us are waiting for them to ship as we speak.......I think the RSB had a very big positive effect on handling..
Rear strut tower brace will have the least effect (or none at all) and will take up trunk space
