will the warranty cover these things?

hey guys,

going in for my 15k service on 03 Maxima SE but i have a few problems that i was wondering if they would be covered under warranty.

1. when it rains heavily, some water leaks through the sunroofs rubber seal(does not drip down) causing a moldy smell to occur during a very hot summer day.

2. breaks I think need to be bleeded b/c my pedal need to be pressed down almost all the way for it to stop

3. have a rattle noise coming from the engine on a cold start for a sec then it goes away, found a TSB on it so ill take that with me. I dont know if I sould or not b/c they will ask me where i got it from.

if they give me a hard time can i do anything to have them help me better?
Thanks all

ok .. heres what you do... before you even go to do service.. call 800 NISSANUSA and explain what you just wrote to them... and ask them if these services could be done under warranty...
if he says yes. then your set .. if he says no then your not lucky

if he says yes.. and the dealer refuses to do the warranty work .. you can tell them that the representative from nissan usa said its covered.. if they still refused.. call back the rep at nissan usa and report the dealer..
and just take your car to another dealer

when NISSAN USA says something is covered under warranty then dealers are OBLIGATED to do it...

good luck

The 3 year 36K mile bumper to bumper will cover those things...and if the dealer tries to tell you otherwise, then you contact NNA...

All of this should be covered. Dealer has NO incentive, other then benig lazy a-holes not to cover this, as they get paid for warranty work by NNA anyway.
Dealers around here are fighting for warranty work to keep their customers...

Brakes are considered a wear item and may only be covered up to 12/12...this can vary from dealer to dealer. Seals should be covered. The rattle noise is at the discretion of the dealer -- if they don't think it's a problem, or if they consider it "normal", they aren't going to tear down your engine to fix it just because Nissan would pay them if they did!

It's hard to get brakes covered under warranties at most dealers because dealer brake jobs are so profitable -- $150 or more, for the fronts, OR the rears, for new pads/machine rotors. That doesn't even include bleeding the system in a lot of cases!
