ROTORS, Blanks vs.Cross Drilled, which last longer?

ROTORS: BLANKS vs. Cross Drilled?
I am about to get 4 cross drilled brembo rotors for $190 from automax_95.

I did some research and found that cracking will not be an issue for a regular driver like myself. What I did find out is that cross drilled rotors tend to wear down the pads more quicker than regular blank rotors, is this TRUE? I am a regular driver and just want to make my brakes last the longest.

What are your experiences on how to make your brakes last longer. BLANKS or Cross Drilled rotors?

Note: I don't race or anything, just an average maxima commuter.

I don't see any accelerated wear in my slotted vs regular. I figure cross drilled would not be any worse than slotted.

I've had stillen xdrilled/metal matrix pads, brembo blanks/raybestos quiet stop and the stock setups. I see no real difference except imo the xdrilled stopped a bit better/quicker than the brembo BUT possibly because of the pads were a little noisy. The brembo are good and quieter with QS pads.

I got about 17K before needing a cut on the Stillen and I probably will get around 15K before the brembo need a cut. I think the x drilled help a little with heat displacement but aren't that much better for what I paid.

Another last note is that the Stillen had a lot more meat to them thickness wise, but again like I said I didn't get too much more out of them.

I got like 30K total out of the stillen and have about 10K on the brembo now. I also drive 80% highway at ~80MPH average... so lots of high speed braking.

I should also point out that my driving habits have changed since the warping issue with the max. I now always try to let the car slow down by it's self when about to exit the highway so that the brakes are exposed to extra heat and always try to advoid puddles, etc.

Oh yeah I didn't have any problems with cracking on the xdrilled. I hope this helps a bit, imo get the xdrilled 190 for all is not that bad, that's what I paid for the stillen fronts only. I paid 100 for the brembo.

And as far as pads are concerned I still have the stocks in the rear pads and rotors (87K) and I have never really NEEDED to replace the front pads but have because I didn't want to mess up new rotors.

Since you said you're a regular driver, I dont see a need for cross-drilled rotors. Theoretically slotted rotors will let you stop faster/shorter distance and blanks will last longer.

Personally, I would go with slotted rotors. They will not crack over time like the drilled ones (stress around the holes), they grip much harder than stock, they are excellent in wet conditions, and they look sweet.

Go with blanks, one of the hardest driven (track) maxipads on this site with a completely custom BBK use blanks.

I just put drilled and slot rotors for irotors on my car about two weeks ago. Stopping is alot better then stock. You can feel it grip when you push hard on the breaks. But they are noisy and I am using stock pads. If you want to stop better, just get slot rotors.
