nosing around the net ive heard about the idling problems that the maxima 5spds have had. I was wandering....is this problem still present in the 2001 5spds? anything else about the vehicles that buyers should be aware of? thanks

Idling problems

Mine bucks a bit when its cold, but beyond that its fine. The car has enough power to get you around in second at a crawl anyway. Really, if you want a 5 speed and something in the class of the Maxima what choices do you have? Trust me you'll like it.

yeah, i want a manual tranny

Ive only owned one auto and i didn't care for it much. But i think i would rather have an auto than a manual that pissed me off with idle trouble. I still have a few months so maybe it will be cured by then....or maybe the 2002 model.
