HomeLink system dead.

The Homelink system in my 2002 does not seem to function at all. I've followed the instructions but the little light never comes on. Does anyone have any info on how to diagnose this system? Thanks.

Yes, but I’d prefer to fix it myself rather than fork over the change to the dealer. I’ve check all the fuses and nothing is identified as HomeLink. Anymore suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Here is what you can do. 1) Make sure you are following the programming instructions in the owners manual EXACTLY. 2) If that does not work, try programming your friend or neighbors door opener with your homelink. If that does not work, chances are it is the homelink system that is the problem and you may be stuck going to the dealer. Hope it's under warranty.

Save the extra work and take it to the dealer. You're under warranty.

Ok... I'll attempt the programming and ignore the fact that the little led on the homelink unit does not work. If that doesn't do it I'll take it to the dealer. I don't think it will be under warranty though... I'm at 40k.

Thanks for the help.
