Raced a 1997 Audi A6

Raced my 2001 SE with my brother in law's 1996 Audi A6 and I was only one car length ahead of him by the time we hit 80mph...WTF.
I then drove his car and I must say they are very quick for a 172 HP car...
the first gear sucked and is not too tall.. but then the rest of them pulled till redline.
Anybody know why they are so quick for a 172HP car ( 175Torque)..
both cars are bone stock and automatic.

here we go....

because they haul *** on the highway like most german cars is why. because they cost more than a maxima ever will. because they are not even in the same category as a maxima... and because this is the weekly "i raced something" post which is against the rules, if you read them.

i find that no-racing-stories rule is extremely stupid. racing on streets per se is stupid and immature, however everyone does it on occasion and i doubt many people on here do it when there is traffic around them. regardless, what exactly is the point of censoring such stories? just please no one tell me that moderators have some pseudo-ethics/moral/whatever where they fear of promoting street racing. imho, i tend to find such stories rather entertainting and fun. yes, people get hurt and die but i believe we are all old enough here to be aware of that and we dont need a mommy and daddy to tell us right from wrong. cmon...

last time i told my racing story on here, i almost got lynched. put all that energy into promoting non-smoking or such...this is censorship is ridiculous.
