2 Newbie Questions - Stereo & Chrome Acc.
Hi Everyone,
I am the proud new owner of an 01 AE. Black on Black with 28000 miles. I LOVE this car. I found this forum while looking for some after market accessories for my Max. I appologize if some of these questions have been answered but the search feature on the forum is not working correctly.
Here are some questions. Any feedback would be appreciated.
1. I want to add an MP3 player to the stereo. Does anyone know of an MP3 head unit that can be installed that still utilizes the factory amplification/speaker system AND can use the factory steering wheel volume control?
2. I am looking for chrome wheel well protective strips. I am not sure what else to call them. Basically a strip of chrome that attaches to the top half of the wheel well/fender to protect against door dings and also for cosmetics.
Again, thanks in advance for any feedback. I look forward to being a part of this forum.

1. Check out the audio section of this forum. Some good info listed in there. And yes, you will be able to upgrade your head unit and still have the functionality of your steering wheel controls by purchasing an adapter (check www.crutchfield.com).
