pacesetter
b&m
courtesy
stillen

they all vary in some small degree. Stillen is the most expensive, retains relatively close to stock height, but reduces throws significantly

pacesetter is adjustable in length and is fairly notchy.

I have no experience with the rest except reading that most members do not like the quality of the courtesy one and exchanged for b&m

I have the pacesetter but would skip it and get the B&M.

It is a bit more expensive and can't be adjusted as low as the pacesetter. However, the ball on my pacesetter was too large and I had to reinstall at least 2x as I figured out that I had to shave it down. It was a real PITA and wouldn't recommend anyone buying the pacesetter - although others had no probs. Unless quality control has gotten better - go with B&M.

The extra $$ will probably end up saving you installation hassles.

Go with B&M or Pacesetter. The best out there!

Did anyone have similar problems?

Max_Gator, did the headers give you some good gains? I basically have the same mods that you do except the headers. Also, are there any companies who sell the headers seperately? I have warpspeed y-pipe and wanted to see if any headers out there would fit that. Lastly, Max_Gator, did you feel or see(1/4 mile times) any difference after you advanced the timing? I heard that advancing the timing might actually kill your engine. If not, do you have any how to's for it?

Thanks

I love my pacesetter but because of the installation i would flip for the B&M. it is a solid once piece design that replaces the entire shifter assembly instead of just the shifter bar. This makes for a much easier installation

supposedly stillen is the only "true" sts out there. Unsure of why, but that is the consensus from reading other threads

I love my B&M. The shifts are short and smooth now that I've broken it in. I got mine from SW Autoworks in a GD for $120.

I have the pacesetter and wish I went with the B&M. My sts has been in for over 3 years now and the shifts have become progressively stiffer...I hate it. It's good when the car is still cold but after about 30 mins I can barely shift it. Suxorz.

i know ebay has "nismo" (uyeah right) short shifters for like $26.00. Im guessing you get what you pay for though. But my friend who has an sr20de in his sentra got a $20 short shifter and it works like a charm...
