01 SE engine sound

Has anyine had this problem. The engine is making a rattling noise and is really loud. This started like 10 months ago. I don't know if this is a leak on a gasket or what? Any advise on this...

my engine did similar when i added regular gas to the car. it requires premium.....

also it ery well may be a exhaust leak....any gaskets blown out...or a hole in an exhaust system anywhere can cause this

lontar,
you need to describe it a little better. When is it making the noise (accelleration, braking, bumps, etc)? Do you use premium gas or regular/midgrade? Where in the engine bay is the noise coming from?

This does not sound like an exhaust leak to me...they do not "rattle" they just sound like your exhaust is bad (loud)...

please elaborate so we can help you...

I agree that the engine is slightly noiser(not any kind of rattling) while using 89, but consistently get better gas milage than 93

yes but it has nothing to do with GAS, I always use 93 Chevron or Mobil...... it is when I accelerate in normal condition and hard. It sounds way to much for my taste...... I'm trying to find the software for my video camera so I can upload the sound. Does anyone here has the software for a Panasonic PV-GS9.
