5th gen bose radio question

Just got back from a trip in Europe - Drove around a little Nissan Alermo; it was strangely familiar and drove pretty nice around the twisties in Poland and Germany - but man does my car seem fast now that Im back! Anyways, while I was gone my radio came in - I ordered a non-bose oem radio for my car (car came with an aftermarket radio, I like to oem look). The ebay seller sent me a bose unit by mistake! I hooked it up and it works, however the sound distorts heavily in mid-high volume levels. Guess that's because I don't have an amp and only 4 speakers in my GXE? Is there any way to get rid of the distortion, or do I email the seller that he sent me the wrong radio? I like the idea that it's a bose unit, but somehow I think that I would have to get new speakers/amp to get it to sound properly. Any thoughts?

bose audio amplifies the signal at the speaker, not the head unit like typical stereo's. i'm pretty sure you'll need all new speakers for it.
