Night lighting for steering wheel control buttons

I have a 2003 SE. I have noticed that the steering wheel buttons for ALL controls (Sound, Trip, Cruise, etc) are not lit at night. This makes them kind of difficult to see at night. Am I missing something here (like LIGHT)? All the buttons function normally and dash light are lit at night.

I am dissapointed. It seems like a cheap-out on Nissans part but thanks for the skinny.

Yep, and the whole point of steering wheel controls is that you don't have to look at the dash and take your hands off the wheel to push buttons.

After you drive the car for a month or two you'll be able to do it w/ your eyes closed. Don't worry about lighting it up.
