SES Light is on.....Need Help!!!!

I have serviced the car myself, but now the SES light has come on 1,200 miles later. How do I get this light to turn off? Help me out........

Thanks

Try the 4th gen forum, since according to your sig, you have a '97.

Go to Auto-Zone and have them pull the code(s) for you.

the codes will represent the same thing but 4th gens can pull theirs through the ecu. we dont have that option, so you will need to make a visit to autozone, local garage or dealer for use of a OBD2 diagnostic machine. you can also purchase a basic tester for about the same price as the dealer charges for diagnostics.

Can the light be reset

Is there a method for resetting the light to see if it recurs, without using a specialized tool? In some cars you can do this using a jumper wire or a sequence of turning the key. If so, and if the problem was temporary then the light shouldn't come back on.

Thanks,

Where can I find a OBD2 diagnostic machine? How much?

Yes, GO TO AUTOZONE and say, "Reset this please." oh and "No thank you, I would not like to purchase any O2 sensors today."
