Has anyone else experienced this ? Either with CD or stereo I occasionally encounter periods when the damn thing just goes off and on. The display just goes blank and the music stops. Sometimes it lasts for 1-2 seconds other times I have to restart the car for it to come back on.

If you look on either this page (page 1), or trying pages 2 and 3. I remember that there was a thread about this a little while back. Try doing a search, but I don't know how far it'll get you. I'll try and find it also, and if I do, I'll post it here.

I did a search on bose and scanned about 7 pages and did not find anytihng useful. I did see that there were problems losing power to the sub, but that's not my situation. I am losing complete power. If you should find something I would appreciate your posting it.

Are you playing a CD or a radio station when it cuts out? I've noticed when I take out a cd after immediately listening to it, the default mode is to turn off the entire system. This means I have to hit FM or insert another cd to get back going again.

Perhaps your system thinks the cd is no longer in there....

It happens when playing either the radio or CD.

Sounds like something is loose or just broke.

Perhaps you could hit a good size bump to see if it cuts out, possibly indicating a loose connection. Taking a trip to the dealer may be the way to go on this one.
