Max Lowering Questions

I know nothing about what i need/brands to lower my car but i know that i want to do it eventually...can i get springs without struts bc those are realllly expensive haha...what brands do u suggest and about how much $ including install ... thanks a lot.

Yes you can get springs without struts but i wouldn't recommend it because it will only be so long before your stock struts blow. Also, the bigger drop you get, the faster they will blow. People usually replace both at the same time to save on install cost. the springs will run about 100-150 and the struts are about 350-400 so maybe 600-650 total including install.

For brands maxspeed and teins are good springs and tokico illumina struts are pretty good, or you could just save up and get a good set of coilovers.

first off, you should install them yourself. i did it alone. yes it took 6 hours, but i do not like to have stinky mechanics working on my car, unless there is something i just cant fix.

go with h&r's. i have maxspeeds, but now i wish i would have spent the extra 100 and purchased the h&r's. there is a gd going on. check it out
you can run on maxspeeds or h&r's with stock struts. some ppl have had that combo for over a year without blown struts
