Quick question.. I got a set of extra keys for my 2003 GLE, but need to program them. I tried doing a search, so don't flame . anyone have a quick link to a DIY or know how?

i took it to the dealer, after not being able to find the how-2. cost $19.99

 

if you need to progam the chip: only the dealer can do it!

Since you got a 4th gen, you should check in the how-to sticky in your section! There's the how-to in the 5th gen :

4th gen:
1.Get in & lock the doors
2.Insert the key into the ignition 6 times within 15 seconds
3.Hazard lights should flash
4.Put key back into the ignition & turn to Accessory
5.Press the master door lock (on drivers door arm rest) unlock/lock
6.Hit the lock button on the remote
7.Hazards should flash
8.Pull key out and open the drivers door and then close it
9.It should be set

5th gen: take to the dealer! No choice sorry!

 

that sucks for the 5th gen

 

I purchased an xtra key on ebay for $12 shipped and took it to a local locksmith and had them program the key for $35.
The local Nissan stealer wanted $65 just to program the key..

A few phone calls can save you some bucks

 

AHHHHH I GOT RIPPED OFF.....those stealer wanted 50 bucks for 1 key and 50 bucks for programming......WTFFFFFFFFF

 

and how much for the cut

 

50 for key includes the cut....so i spent totally 100 for a damn key
