Left side speakers SHOT when playing CD's!

Just noticed this yesterday.... my left side speakers are muffled and completely distorted only when i play CD's. There is barely any sound coming out of them. They work just fine w/ the radio. I tried playing burned & normal CD's and it's still messed up.
This happen to anyone? I still have my warranty, so i'm not too worried. But i'd love to go to the dealer knowing whats up.
Thanks guys!

Well... i just called the dealer & i'm taking it in tomorrow. It sounded like he's seen the problem before. I'm assuming they're gonna replace the Bose head unit.

i just got mine replaced like last week...the tech who was on my car called me out to see if i could duplicate the problem but i said it was totally random sometimes it would do it others would not...then i told him that there was a TSB for it and then he found the tsb, printed it out and attached it to their copy and ordered a radio for it.

I'm on my 3rd in 9 months. FWIW - The dealer warranties the unit for 12K miles - So they'll replace it even if your warranty is expired.

Well... i just took it to the dealer today and they ordered me a new head unit. Hopefully I won't have to bring it in again. I don't think they're covered past the 36K warranty. You can ask though. Lucky for me i've only got 10K on my car.

Head back to dealer. I had that problem with my 2K3 SE. They will gladly replace the radio.

Yeah same situation for me but on a 02

While on the topic of TSBs...these are just bulletins telling the techs what needs to be done...wether or not you have to pay for that work is determined by what warranty if any you're still covered under?
