Get winter tires. I exchanged my rim set for 16" winter tires with steel rims ( just because you can damage your rims in the winter). But they suck in the winter..belive me..I was going down hill at roughly 3 mph..hit the brakes and the car didnt even slow down...just started to slid...i have crapotenzzas

The car itself is about like any other FWD car. Tires are the key. The stock potenzas are not a bad summer tire, but worse than most in snow or even rain if they have some wear.
Winter tire technology is so great these days, get a set if you got the coin. You wont regret it especially being up there in Mass Excuses.

+1 what Mick Max said...the CAR is fine (just be careful with the powerful engine not to accell to hard..) It's all about tires. The OEM Potenzas suck in the snow. I have Falken 512s and they are the best all-season tire in the snow (except for the Pilot Sport A/S which costs 2x as much)....I took the max into the W.Va. mountains with 3 ft. of snow on the roads last winter.
The harder the tire sidewall, the worse they will be in the snow. Or, get snow tires (Blizzaks or something else...)
if you know how to drive in snow, any FWD car with good tires will do fine..
in this pic, my buddys 2k1 max with potenzas was having big trouble getting up the mountain (especially when roads were totally snow covered)...he was sliding sideways, fishtailing, etc...with my Falkens I had no trouble whatsoever...

Mastercraft out of Findley Ohio. You might do a google and study up on if they are all season tires. With this new info you could be OK.
I was kinda worried you had the stock Potenza which can be miserable if you get much snow.
As far as snows, 2k2wanabe turned me on to Semperit Sport Grips. About 85% as good as a Blizzak and better than them in the rain or dry roads about $78 ea as i recall. I dont know exactly what you are up against so I cant say if you need them for sure but they are nice.
